Forest Walk

It was time for a little break from work, and for me to kick my Danish-speaking into high gear, so I came to Bornholm to live with Mikkel's aunt and uncle for a week. We are sticking to the absolutely-no-English thing, amazingly, and I think that it will definitely help me get in the habit of speaking more Danish, even if it's just a little bit.

I arrived on the island on Saturday and we went for a walk in the forest after lunch. It felt so good to be out of the city and actually smell spring, and see it happening all around us. I love this time of year for the fluorescent-green baby leaves, new life bursting from the earth, and the old decaying leaves being taken over freshness.
