There's been a lot of snow here lately. Apparently, Copenhagen has not seen a winter like this since 1995. It kind of reminds me of home, except for the fact that people in Canada generally stop biking when there's 2 feet of snow on the road.
Today I went out to visit my friend Andres, who lives on a boat. On the way I saw many things: ships frozen in place, a crazy vortex/whirlpool in the water (awesome), masts and trees and more snow and then Alba, his home. It's a beautiful place to live.

Food
I've been working on a website for one of the restaurants where I cook. These are some pictures of the food I made yesterday, taken for the site. This gives you some idea of what I do all day :)
Wild rice, carrot, purple cabbage, chick peas, toasted coconut and arugula.
Roasted red pepper hummus.
Garlic-roasted sweet potatoes, black beans, toasted sunflower seeds, orange zest, poppy seeds and cilantro.
Steamed cauliflower, black olives, red onion, capers, parsley, white balsamic.
Roasted beets, lemon-marinated apples, walnuts, parsely.

Sweet sounds comin' down...
Enough with the pictures...I can't get this song out of my head, and the video is almost too much incredible. At least watch it until they are all wearing matching sparkle tuxedo pants and performing the synchronized sway n' snap (that's my term).

I have the bestest friends
I got THREE packages in the mail yesterday and it looks like Christmas just keeps on giving! Thank you to my best girlfriends for the beautiful and thoughtful gifts, I wish you could have seen my face when I opened these!
A Nikki McClure calendar (she's one of my favorite artists), a wool sweater, a re-usable shopping bag with a happy pig, homemade organic jam, alpaca, mohair and wool-blend yarn, and a feather print?! If this table got anymore Sarah B, I think I would explode.
I love you, sweet friends, and I miss you more than words can say. This meant so much to me.

Where to Begin?
Mikkel and I just returned from the most beautiful trip to Bornholm. We decided that we wanted to celebrate New Years in the quiet solitude that only a lonely cabin on the shores of the Baltic sea can provide. I took almost 200 pictures, so I am not sure where to start, but I guess the very beginning is an appropriate place. We had lunch at Mikkel's aunt and uncles place - a good meal in the city before we went into the wild.
