I had the sweetest evening...I met a Canadian friend down at the canal to practice Danish tonight, when a dingy full of young boys with ukuleles docked, and began singing Beirut songs while the sun was setting and the boats were rocking and the seagulls were crying. It was one of those moments when you just know that someone must be up there conducting the minute events of this grand world just to make you happy.
I am in the middle of a very exciting time of discovery at My New Roots, because April is going to be "You can do it month: making stuff you thought you had to buy". So cool. It all began when I made my own flour, and subsequently, this loaf of bread above. Check out the blog in a day or two to find out how you too, can become a flour miller and a baker all in the same morning.
